About the event
Our bodies are highly intelligent and designed to handle intermittent stress. We are all familiar with the example of the 'tiger' - fight or flight response.
However nowadays many of us are living in a state of chronic stress and don't even realise it. On a daily basis we encounter continuous physical and emotional stressors. Our lives are inundated with fake 'tigers' and we 'normalise' ourselves to this state of being. We worry, we anticipate, we suppress and compromise ourselves in so many different situations. BUT this has an enormous impact on our immune system, on our digestive system and so on...
Effectively, if our nervous system is in a chronic state of stress, the body is unable to heal!
Hence it becomes so important to learn how to self-regulate, to bring ourselves back into balance.
